Cow Cuddles

Step into a world of rustic charm and pure magic at Fold of Liberty Farms, where you’ll have the rare chance to cuddle with Scottish Highland cows—from their majestic, fluffy mamas to their gentle young calves. These soulful animals aren’t just beautiful to photograph; they naturally bring out joy, laughter, and genuine smiles in everyone who meets them.

A Highland Cow Photoshoot isn’t just about walking away with stunning, professional images (though you’ll absolutely love those). It’s about the experience of a lifetime—slowing down, connecting with nature, and sharing a one-of-a-kind adventure with the people you love most. Families often leave feeling closer, with memories that go far beyond the photographs themselves.

This is more than a photoshoot. It’s a chance to come together as a family, breathe in the fresh country air, and create treasured moments that will stay in your hearts long after the day is done.

Photoshoots

Private Highland Cow Photoshoots are offered
March through October at Fold of Liberty Farms. The farm is at its most vibrant and the weather is most enjoyable at this time. For the comfort and safety of both clients and cows, we do not schedule sessions during the winter months, as the cold and winds can be severe.

All sessions are held during Golden Hour—about an hour before sunset—when the light is soft, golden, and ideal for creating dreamy, timeless images with the Highland cows.

Your session will last 60 to 75 minutes and includes:

  • Up to 15 professionally edited, high-resolution digital images

  • Unlimited printing rights for your images

  • Complimentary black-and-white versions of select photos

  • Optional add-ons, including additional edits and bulk discounts

These sessions are designed to capture both the charm of the Highlands and the natural beauty of the farm, ensuring keepsake images you’ll treasure for years to come.

Location

Highland Cow Photoshoots take place at a private farm in Spanish Fork, Utah, in the Lake Shore area of South Utah County. The farm is approximately 56 miles from Salt Lake City and just 20 minutes from Provo, making it an easy and scenic drive from many parts of Utah.

For privacy and safety, the exact address will be provided upon booking. Please note that transportation of the cows is not available—all sessions are held on the farm property, where the Highlands are most comfortable and natural.

Why Highland Cows?

Highland Cows are truly one-of-a-kind and bring something magical to every photoshoot. With their fluffy coats, gentle personalities, and iconic long horns, they create a backdrop that feels straight out of a fairytale.

  • Friendly & Gentle – These cows are naturally calm and curious, making them a joy to be around. Their sweet temperament helps clients relax and allows natural smiles to shine through.

  • Fluffy & Photogenic – Their long, shaggy coats and soulful eyes add warmth and charm to every photo, creating images that feel both rustic and timeless.

  • Unforgettable Experience – A photoshoot with Highland Cows is more than just pictures—it’s a memory. Clients often leave saying it was one of the most fun and unique experiences they’ve ever had.

From family portraits to couple sessions, these friendly fluffy cows help create images filled with joy, laughter, and a little bit of farm magic.

What to Wear

Your outfit choices play a big role in the overall look and feel
of your photos. To help you prepare for a safe and stylish session on the farm, please keep the following in mind:

  • Avoid white clothing and shoes. White tends to wash out in photos and shows dirt easily.

  • Dresses are welcome, but keep in mind that the cows love to nibble at loose fabric, especially at the hemline.

  • Skip the tassels. Cows are curious and will likely chew on them.

  • Choose earthy or muted tones. Bright colors are less flattering in the natural farm setting. If you’d like, I’m happy to provide personalized outfit and color suggestions.

  • Closed-toe shoes are required. Please, no sandals, high heels, or crocs. The ground can be uneven, muddy, or covered in manure. Sturdy shoes or boots are strongly recommended.

  • Cowboy Hats are welcome! Western wear is always encouraged and photographs beautifully in the farm setting.

These guidelines will help keep you comfortable and safe while ensuring your photos turn out timeless and flattering.

Booking & Rescheduling Policy

A retainer fee is required at the time of booking to secure your session date and time. This payment goes directly toward your photoshoot balance and ensures your spot is held exclusively for you. Please note that the retainer is non-refundable, as it prevents others from booking the same date and time.

I understand that unexpected things happen, so I do my best to provide flexibility:

  • Rescheduling within 72 hours of booking (and at least 7 days before your session): One complimentary reschedule is allowed with no fee.

  • Rescheduling after the 72-hour window or within 7 days of your session: A $100 reschedule fee will apply and must be paid at the time the new date is confirmed.

  • Rescheduling on the day of your session: This is considered a cancellation, and your retainer will be forfeited.

In the event of severe weather conditions that may affect safety, comfort, or photo quality, your session will be rescheduled at no additional charge. Severe weather includes, but is not limited to:

  • Winds exceeding 15 MPH

  • Heavy rain, hail or snow

  • Lightening

This policy is designed to protect both your investment and the time, resources, and planning dedicated to each session while still offering flexibility when it’s truly needed.
